Glenn Cunningham

When he was five years, Glenn Cunningham suffered severe burns leg section. The treating physician was forced to raise their hands. According to the diagnosis, Glenn will remain disabled and uses a wheelchair all his life. "He will not be able to walk again." Said a doctor.

Doctors may indeed check Glenn leg, but they do not see the bottom of Glenn heart  Glenn was never concerned with their words. He sure would be able to resume running.

Above her bed with legs that are still visible burn scars he vowed. "Next week I'll get out of bed, I'll walk." And it's really done Glenn.

Mrs. Glenn said she used to see Glenn practiced walking with holding the handle of the plow that was not used again in his yard. With all the pain experienced by Glenn, the closer on his promise to get back running. Not long after that Glenn was able to run with the slower, more and more quickly and with a lively movement.

"I'm beginning was sure I could walk again, and it really can. Now I'll run faster than anyone else. "And Glenn successful business.

He became a formidable sprinter to a distance of one mile. In 1936 recorded the fastest time of 4:06 minutes which is the world record for that time. Glenn received an award as the outstanding athlete of this century at Madison Square Garden.

The lesson we can learn is "NEVER GIVE UP". That is done and is believed to Glenn to get back running. Glenn was never concerned with the assumption that doctors say he will not be able to walk again.

Glenn kept trying and trying even have to bear the pain was so severe. But the pain was the one who makes it can be resumed, Glenn did not complain and do not judge anyone for the fire incident but he remained strong and brave to face it all.

An attitude that is very inappropriate for us to imitate, do not ever give up and always believe that what we want to achieve and we believe we have achieved very, and certainly with an aggressive effort to achieve that dream.
